Games & Other Fun

Kids' Ox Land
Look for the designated spot just for kids where families can enjoy good, clean fun in our church-run games. Here you'll find the ever-popular Duck Pond, "fishing" for Turtles, Lucky Lollipops & other fun games all run by St. Joseph Parish volunteers. Prizes for everyone!

Face Painting is also in this area. A little paint, a lot of smiles!


Frog Jumping Contest
Another event to please the kids (and adults, too!) is the popular Frog Jumping Contest on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. Entry fee is $1.00. Bring your own jumper or "rent-a-frog" for $1.00 each. Cash prizes & Ox Roast Fair
T-shirts are awarded to the best of the bunch. Look for a hoppin' good time in the Kids' Ox Land!

Dunking Booth
Willing volunteers entertain & refresh at the Dunking Booth. Show your throwing expertise as you show your support!

Indoor Casino & Instants Tent
Adult fairgoers may try their luck in the Indoor Casino located in Hughes Hall or the Instants Tent & Wheel located near the entrance of Fr. Hughes Hall. The Casino in the back of Hughes Hall features a variety of Casino Games including Black Jack, Chuck-A-Luck, Texas Hold 'Em, Let It Ride, and Beat The Dealer.

"Run of the Ox"
5K Run/Walk & 1M Fun Walk
Be a part of the this year's 5K Run/Walk or
1M Fun Walk at St. Joseph's Annual Ox Roast Fair!!!
Race will take place on Saturday morning of the fair. Registration is at 7:00 a.m. in front of the
church and the race begins at 8:00 a.m.
Out & back course begins at St. Joe's
(Fun Walk takes place on church grounds).
Awards will be given to the top 3 overall
and the top 3 in the following age groups: 11 & under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-29,30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.
Features include water stops, timers,
t-shirts (first 150 registrations), and refreshments.
Pre-registration fee is $16.00 by July 16, 2013.
Race day registration is $20.00.

Kiddie Tractor Pulls
Provided by the Mantua Knights of Columbus Council #3766, this is a real cute event that shows the heart and determination of those little ones. Built to imitate the look & feel of a real tractor pull, these pedal-powered vehicles are a big hit with boys & girls aged 3 to 9 years old (and plenty of spectators, too!).
Held on Saturday of the Fair, sign-ups begin at 5:00 p.m. with three age categories (ages 3, 4 & 5; 6 & 7; and 8 & 9). Registration fee is $2.00 per child. Starting at 5:30 p.m., the Kiddie Tractor Pulls are held on the pavement right in front of the Kids' Ox Land and the Lemon Shake-Up Booth. Ox Roast Idol 2013
Three fun-filled days of selection of Karaoke Contestants with the Finals Competition 8-9 p.m. on Sunday.
All contestants and the three top winners to be selected from all song slips filled out on each day of the Fair (three individuals & one wild card entry each day).
All Wild Card contestants to be chosen from all entry slips right before the finals. Total of 12 contestants will compete in the finals for the title of Ox Roast Idol.

You don't want to miss this spectacular event!

Entry Fee: $3.00 per song slip You can enter & purchase an
Ox Idol T-Shirt for $10.00.
The three most lucky and possibly most talented performers will win
$50 - 3rd, $100 - 2nd,
