Knights
of Columbus Council #3766
& Women's Auxiliary
Members
of the parish who also belong to the Mantua chapter of this great
organization of Catholic men
(along
with their Women's Auxiliary) volunteer at the Fair. A tremendous
amount of time is offered helping with maintenance, set-up, and
take-down as well as working throughout the Fair.
Thank you gentlemen & ladies of the Knights!
Be sure to take a chance on the raffle for the Women's Auxiliary
- they'll be selling tickets for a fire pit, chat set of 2 chairs, footstools and small table along with a basket of summertime cook-out goodies!
Boy
Scout Troop #575
This great group of young men & their
families continue delicious fund raising efforts with their Sausage
Sandwich booth. This hard-working group serves a savory sandwich,
chips & bottled water!
Don't forget the tremendous effort they put forth in helping with
Fair set-up, cleaning the grounds each evening & take-down
of the Fair. Thanks, guys!
Cub
Scout Pack #3575
The Cubs will be dispensing soft drink products
at Pop Booth once again this year. Stop by & quench your thirst
- they're near the Ox Roast Sandwich booth.
Dunking Booth
Families
entertain & refresh at the Dunking Booth. Show your expertise
as you show your support.
Girl
Scouts
Crestwood Area Girl Scouts collect the donations
for our local food cupboard, the 4C's. On SUNDAY ONLY, parking
is just $2.00 per vehicle with a nonperishable donation at the
Fair's entrance. Needs of the 4C's include canned or boxed foods,
cleaning supplies, paper products and personal care products.
If your Girl Scout troop would like to volunteer to help at this
year's Ox Roast Fair, contact the Parish
Office (330.274.2253).
Appalachian
Experience Group
Also
volunteering their time with the
Ox Roast Fair are folks who take part in St. Joseph's Housing
Repair Program based out of Clintwood, VA. Members of St. Joseph's
have been participating in this outreach effort since 1998, volunteering
for a variety of household repairs at owner occupied homes of
low-income residents of southwestern Virginia. Click
here or stop by the T-Shirt Booth to learn more about this
aspect of St. Joseph Parish.
