The Catholic Youth Organization sports program offers young people of the parish the opportunity to learn teamwork and sportsmanship, as well as the fine points of the games in a Christian atmosphere. CYO inspires young people to know God, to love God, and to serve God through athletics. More than 20,000 youth play CYO sports and over 5,000 adults coach and support CYO sports throughout eight counties in Northeast Ohio.
 
St. Joseph School had a good reputation and long-standing success in CYO Sports like basketball and football (SJS closed June 2010).
