You're all probably familiar with Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, perhaps Secondhand Sunday, and Cyber Monday but have you heard of Giving Tuesday? It's the Tuesday after Thanksgiving designated to donating to non-profit organizations and causes. It provides an opportunity to thank God for all the blessings that He has bestowed upon us during the year and to look within ourselves to see how we can best use our talent and treasure to help others.
The Parish Center & Offices is the building at the end of the parking lot that looks like a house (in fact, it was previously used as the priest's residence and parish offices). Built in the early 1960's, it is now used for the Office of St. Joseph & St. Ambrose Parishes for the parish secretary, business secretary, director of religious education, deacon, and pastor(s). There's also a large meeting room which has a nice courtyard space along with a full kitchen. Basement and garage spaces are used for storage.
Thanks to the generosity of donors, we were able to replace the roof shingles during the summer of 2024. Our next step in this parish project is to continue addressing the much needed improvements to this building. Items include replacing original windows, installation of new overhang and fascia, gutters and downspouts, exterior painting, and miscellaneous items.
Fundraising efforts (Lottery Raffle, aluminum can recycling, Giving Tuesday), donations, and money set aside in our Renovation Fund will allow us to continue the next steps of this project as soon as funding permits. We invite you to join in the fundraising efforts allowing us to complete this important effort. Your generous support will help St. Joe’s continue our good works and keep our beautiful facilities and grounds in good shape for the future. Be sure to share the news of our fundraiser and THANK YOU!

Are there fees associated with donations to #iGiveCatholic?
The convenience of donating through a Giving Day platform (with special features and extra security measures) means there are fees. The fees cover tech support, marketing materials, training, and other behind the scenes components enabling your chosen ministry to focus their time and effort on their mission. All donations will be paid to the organization net the platform, ACH, and/or credit card transaction fees. ACH fees total 3.3% plus $3.00. Credit card transaction fees total 5.8% plus $0.30. Donors have the option to cover these fees at the time of donation, and they will receive a tax deduction on the full donation amount.

Matches and challenges are fantastic ways for donors to make a greater impact for the organization you're supporting. Your generosity and support will inspire others to donate and build the excitement and success of the campaign. Individuals, groups, organizations, or businesses may become a Matching Donor or Challenge Donor.
Matching Donor
A match is a pool of funds that is donated from a person or company that is intended to be used by matching donations, typically one to one, dollar for dollar. Each time an eligible donation is made, a corresponding offline gift of the same amount will be contributed to our totals. Matches are based on the amount given by each donor, and you can set specific guidelines around your match to make it more impactful.
Challenge Donor
A challenge is a gift that is unlocked once a certain threshold is reached. This goal can be measured by dollars or total donors engaged. For example, after a certain number of donors have contributed, the dollar amount provided by the challenge donor is unlocked (i.e. early bird incentive). Specific time frames, types of donors, etc. can be part of this creative way to engage more donors.
If you'd like to participate as a Matching Donor or a Challenge Donor,
please contact Kathi at the Parish Office (330-274-2253 or [email protected])
