St. Joseph Church is in the Diocese of Youngstown
Located in Northeast Ohio, the diocese includes six counties; Ashtabula, Columbiana, Mahoning, Portage, Stark and Trumbull. This area totals 3,404 square miles.
Portage County is divided into two Pastoral Regions
Portage North consists of four parishes: Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Aurora; St. Joan of Arc, Streetsboro; St. Joseph, Mantua; St. Ambrose, Garrettsville (two priests & an associate handle); (St. Michael, Windham, merged with St. Ambrose, December 12, 2021).
Portage South consists of five parishes: Immaculate Conception, Ravenna; St. Patrick, Kent; KSU Newman Center Parish, Kent (one priest & an associate handles both Kent parishes); St. Joseph, Randolph-Suffield; St. Peter of the Fields, Rootstown (one priest handles both Randolph & Rootstown parishes).
Fr. Chris Luoni serves as Sacramental Minister for all of Portage County with residence at St. Joseph Parish in Mantua. He is available to fill in for priests as needed for Masses, Baptisms, Weddings, Anointing of the Sick, Funerals, etc.

There is a cherished spot where pilgrims from near and far come to pray. It is Our Lady’s Grotto, an exact replica of the famous grotto at Lourdes, France, where Blessed Bernadette’s enraptured gaze recalls that blessed day when she first saw the fair and bright vision of Mary Immaculate.
A Triduum, which includes Mass followed by the recitation of the rosary in a candle light procession, is held every August 13, 14 and 15, to celebrate the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. They also have a Grotto Store that provides a variety of religious items for the parishioners of St. Joseph, the community and visitors.
